Tryouts

Tryout jersey included:

• 6U/8U: $50
• 10U-12U Skater: $175 on or before 3/2/26, $225 after
• 14U-18U Skater: $175 on or before 3/30/26, $225 after
• 10U-18U Goalies: FREE

Tryout jersey included:

• 10U-14U Girls Skater: $100 before 3/21/25, $150 after
• 10U-14U Girls Goalies: FREE

As noted above, there are multiple sessions available for tryout registration at each age. Please reach out if you’d like guidance on which to select!  Overall numbers are too big to fit all kids from one age group on the ice together, we need to break the groups up across multiple ice times and having you select a level to tryout at is a good place to start - AA or A/B.  Only our AA teams will be selected from the AA tryout session, so for instance trying out at AA does not give you a better shot toward placement on our A-National team at that age.

These are just starting points for the club to productively assess each age group over a limited amount of tryout days. Once tryouts get started, we may request that kids switch to different ice times as necessary to help finalize decisions as well. We should end up with 4-5 teams across most age groups next year, and we will look to place each of those teams in the appropriate division following the tryouts (AA, A, B, National, American, etc). The tryout dates are set by the Atlantic Amateur District Association (AAHA) and apply to all USA Hockey youth programs in the Atlantic District. PJT does not determine the tryout dates nor are we allowed to hold tryout dates prior to these dates.

For the 2026-27 season, the Princeton Jr. Tigers will have stand alone girls teams at the 10U, 12U, and 14U age groups. Team levels will be determined after tryouts based on the makeup of the rosters.
