Tiger Cubs & Nassau House

Tiger Cubs – Beginner Youth Hockey

Tiger Cubs is LPNHA’s beginner youth hockey program in Princeton, New Jersey, designed for our youngest players to learn the game in a fun, high-energy environment. The program focuses on developing skating, puck control, and basic hockey skills through structured practices and small-area games.

Tiger Cubs helps players build the foundation needed to advance into Nassau House Hockey or 8U travel hockey within the Princeton Junior Tigers program.

For the 2026–27 season, Tiger Cubs is open to players born in 2019 or later who have basic skating ability.

The Princeton Junior Tiger's follow USA Hockey’s American Development Model (ADM), which emphasizes small-area games, more puck touches, and age-appropriate development for players under age 8. With smaller teams and frequent practices, players get more time with the puck while skating with peers of similar skill levels—helping them build confidence, improve skills, and develop a love for the game.

Nassau House provides players with a strong developmental experience while preparing them for future participation in advanced House Hockey levels or Princeton Junior Tigers travel hockey teams (8U–18U).
